altaanz student and teacher travel awards

Sponsored by ALTAANZ, the ALTAANZ Student Travel Award is intended to support postgraduate students in attending and presenting at the ALTAANZ conference. The ALTAANZ Teacher Travel Award is intended to support teachers in attending and presenting at the same.
 
Each travel award is valued at Aus $500.00 and also includes a waiver of the conference registration fee.
 
Please download the appropriate travel award application forms for information about eligibility.  
Recipients of the award are expected to attend both days of the ALTAANZ conference.

Application Procedures

The Student and Teacher Travel Awards will be advertised at the same time as the ALTAANZ conference call for papers.

Applicants should use the travel award application form to make their  

Proposal guidelines:
Students applying for the award should send an email to <altaanz@gmail.com> with Application for Student Travel Award in the subject line.
 
The email should include the following:
  • A copy of the paper proposal  abstract that has been accepted for the ALTAANZ conference;
  • evidence of student status (in the form of a letter from the relevant University administrator);
  • a budget outlining costs (travel & accommodation) involved in attending the conference;
  • a covering letter indicating their motivation for applying for the award and including a statement of financial need.
 
Evaluations will be made based on the financial needs of the applicant and the quality of the paper abstract.
