The Language Testing Research Centre at the University of Melbourne in collaboration with the Association for Language Testing and Assessment (ALTAANZ) is offering a series of workshops in language assessment and testing on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of July at the University of Melbourne.

The workshops are designed for teachers, graduate students and researchers and range from 2 hours to a whole day. Participants can enrol in one or more workshops. Thursday evening (5-7pm): Test analysis for teachers - Knoch
Friday morning (9am-12): Diagnostic Assessment - Elder/Knoch - workshop full 30/5/2014
Friday afternoon (1-4pm): Assessing Writing/feedback to writing - Macqueen
Friday afternoon (1-4pm): Assessing second language pragmatics - Roever
Saturday morning (9am-12): Introduction to Rasch (Winsteps) - Knoch
Saturday afternoon (1-4pm): Introduction to many-facet Rasch (Facets) - McNamara/Knoch

All workshops have minimum number requirements. To keep the costs to a minimum, no catering will be provided – participants are requested to bring their own lunch/refreshments, in particular on Saturday when cafés on campus will be closed.


Costs:

2-hour workshop: Full fee $90; Early bird $80; Student full fee $60; Student early bird $50

3-hour workshops: Full fee $110; Early bird $100; Student full fee $70; Student early bird $60
