LTRC/ALTAANZ workshops September 2015

Following the popularity of the July 2014 workshops, further workshops in language assessment and testing will be offered at the University of Melbourne over the weekend of the 18th, 19th and 20th and on the 22nd of September 2015.

The workshops are designed for teachers, graduate students and researchers. Participants can enrol in one or more workshops.

The following workshops will be offered:
   
Friday, 18 September 1-4pm: A practical approach to questionnaire construction for language assessment research (Aek Phakiti, The University of Sydney) *this workshop has been cancelled

* Saturday, 19 September 9am-12: Integrating peer- and self-assessment into the language classroom (Ute Knoch, University of Melbourne)

* Saturday, 19 September  1-4pm: Implementing and assessing collaborative writing activities (Neomy Storch, University of Melbourne)

* Sunday, 20 September 10am-1pm: Assessing Vocabulary (Susy Macqueen, University of Melbourne)

Tuesday, 22 September 9am - 12: Revisiting language constructs - Recent theoretical advances and applications to practical test design, development and validation (Xiaoming Xi, ETS) (this workshop is sponsored by the Educational Testing Service, US)

*These workshops are particularly suitable for teachers.

Costs per workshop:
Workshops on Saturday and Sunday: Full fee $110; Early bird $100; Student full fee $70; Student early bird $60 (cost per workshop)
ETS-sponsored workshop on Tuesday: Full fee $30; Student fee $20
